  March remains cold with lingering snow in many areas

HOW TO REACH:

• By Road: Lahaul & Spiti can be reached via Shimla via Kinnaur or from Manali through the Atal Tunnel the Manali route is shorter and commonly preferred. If you want to cover only Spiti Valley, you can travel via Manali through the Atal Tunnel, as this route is shorter and quicker. However, if you wish to cover the complete Kinnaur and Spiti circuit, then the Shimla route via Kinnaur is a better option, as it allows you to explore the entire region gradually and more comfortably.
• By Air: The nearest airport is Chandigarh Airport if you plan to start the tour via Shimla. If you prefer to travel via Manali, the nearest airport is Kullu–Bhuntar Airport. However, you can also begin your Spiti tour from Chandigarh Airport via Manali, especially if you are planning to visit Spiti between June and September.

BEST TIME TO VISIT

• March to May: This is the most popular time to visit. The weather remains pleasant and comfortable, making it ideal for sightseeing, Before the month of June, you can usually travel up to Kaza and Chicham, but you will need to return by the same route toward Shimla.
• June to October: During this period, After June, when the roads are fully open, you can comfortably complete the entire Kinnaur–Spiti circuit tour without returning the same way.
• November to February: Winters bring cold temperatures and chances of snowfall, especially from December onwards. If you wish to experience a Winter Spiti Expedition, you can travel with us between November and February. During this period, all our Spiti winter tour sare operated exclusively using specialized 4×4 vehicles to ensure safe and reliable access in heavy snow conditions
• Note: Roads via Rohtang Pass and Kunzum Pass usually open between May and June Spiti is considered a monsoon-safe Himalayan  destination (rain-shadow zone) In winter, Lahaul Spiti is accessible mainly via Shimla and Kinnaur Road access to Spiti is largely cut off in case of heavy snowfall and road blockages, we also operate special winter expeditions using 4×4 vehicles to ensure safe travel in Lahaul.
